🌊 Cruise Ships Are Coming to Nome! Here's How You Can Join the Fun

The 2025 cruise ship season is on its way, and Nome is ready to welcome the world to our incredible corner of Alaska! With thousands of visitors expected to step ashore over the coming months, this is a great opportunity for locals to share what makes our community so special—whether it's homemade treats, beautiful crafts, or simply a warm welcome.

šŸ›³ļø Here’s the current Nome Cruise Ship Schedule:

  • June 19 – Westerdam (Holland America)

  • July 6 – Roald Amundsen (Hurtigruten)

  • August 9 – Roald Amundsen

  • August 14 – Hanseatic Inspiration (Hapag-Lloyd)

  • August 17 – National Geographic Resolution

  • August 27 & 28 – Seabourn Venture

  • September 5 – Hanseatic Spirit

  • September 8 – Fridtjof Nansen (Hurtigruten)

  • September 10 – Silver Endeavour

  • September 15 – Sylvia Earle

  • September 17 – Le Commandant Charcot (Ponant)

🧁 Ways Locals Can Get Involved:

  • Host a pop-up bake sale near the dock—visitors love trying regional treats!

  • Sell handmade crafts or jewelry (bonus points for anything inspired by the tundra or IƱupiat culture!)

  • Help with community welcome tents, guiding guests or answering questions

  • Create mini cultural experiences, like short drum dances, sewing demos, or storytelling circles

Whether you're a seasoned artist or a student looking to fundraise for a school trip, this is a chance to connect with visitors and show them the heart of Nome.

šŸ‘‹ Let's Show Our Nome Hospitality
Not everyone wants to travel the world—but the world is coming to us. Let’s make sure they leave with more than souvenirs. Let’s send them home with stories of kindness, creativity, and the unforgettable spirit of Nome.

If you’re organizing something or want help connecting with a group that is, feel free to reach out—I’d be happy to help share and support your efforts!
