Sandi Keller loves living in Nome and embraces a subsistence
lifestyle that includes fishing, hunting, and gathering. She grew up in the
village of Wales, Alaska, attended high school in Shishmaref, and has deep
roots across the region. Over the years, Sandi taught in Teller, Golovin, and
Nome, building lifelong connections with students, families, and communities.

After recently retiring from education, Sandi is excited to
serve the Nome community in a new capacity—continuing what has always guided
her life: helping people. Known for her compassion, patience, and willingness
to listen, she values relationships, trust, and community above all else.

Sandi is the proud mother of four children and grandmother
to six grandchildren, whom she absolutely adores. She feels grateful to call
Nome home and looks forward to supporting others in meaningful and practical
ways.
